I checked that it zooms in and out and that it rewinds and plays back ok. I tried to take a photo down the eye piece just to show that it plays which you can just about see in the photos. The original instruction booklet is included and is in good condition and is very clear and helpful compared to the instructions you usually get with modern tech.
