Tested recording onto tape and playback, both working well. This is an 8mm camcorder. Will work with Video8 tapes and standard 8mm cassettes. It will NOT work using Hi8 tapes. Comes with original Sony power supply / battery charger. Connects to camcorder to power whilst using. Has a battery which lasted for 20 minutes playing back a tape. Also a camera bag for storage.
